Jersey Burial Society

Members of Jersey Jewish Congregation may be buried in its new cemetery. The Jersey Burial Society can advise on the organisation of funerals arrangements and can advise on the consecration of Memorial Stones.

Anyone who is Jewish and dies in Jersey can apply to be buried in the Jewish Cemetery subject to paying a plot fee and proof of heritage.

We can also assist with burials for the other Channel Islands.

The local undertaker Pitcher and Le Quesne, is the only local company familiar with Jewish burial requirements and will liaise with the family and the Synagogue over all matters following a death. JMCo are local stonemasons who are also familiar with Jewish requirements and will letter the stones in Hebrew as well as English as required. The burial society will assist with transcribing into Hebrew and all words must be approved by the Burial Society before commissioning JMCo.
